About

The free exhibition and festival is curated by Imogen O’Rorke and Nicole Wassall working in collaboration with Paul Monks and Jan Noble of Core Arts.

Core Arts is a charity that exists to break down the many prejudices surrounding mental health through creative practice. Based in Homerton E9, Core Arts provides studio space, facilities, mentoring and community for creatives with mental health issues.

The Venue: Bethnal Green Library (Ideas Store)
Almost hidden in the park behind the south Green, is the historic Bethnal Green Library. After the original asylum was demolished a new block was built in 1896, this building became the present Bethnal Green Library.

The library takes up the ground floor of this beautiful Victorian building. The first floor, once a disused lecture hall and reading room, is now used as a creative exhibition space, thanks to the vision of the library staff and management. The library and exhibitions attract local people from diverse backgrounds and visitors from further afield.
